Building skis with Eric Hjorleifson

It has been a long summer working and a hectic autum so far, with a bunch of parties and premiers. "Eyes Wide Open" has had a great start, with lots of good feedback and its been really great partying with the field crew again.
But the partying is over for now, and the winter is knocking on the door once more, thank god.

After one of the last stops at the FriFlyt FilmTour in Trondheim, I traveled to Oppdal to Endre Hals and his ski factory at Lønset. Just 20 minutes outside the centre of Oppdal, Endre and his girlfriend Elisabeth, has bought a beatiful old farm.
Endre has made his dream come true, rebuilding an old barn and making it to his own custom ski factory.

I met Endre first time about 3 years ago, when I helped out as a ski test rider for Friflyt magazine. He’s been head of tecnical testing of skis for the magazine for over 5 years now, devoloping the best ski test system ever made. With his flexmachine, gathering more information than any person in ski bulding, to achieve the knowledge to build the best skis in the world. With this info along with an education in industrial design, he is getting closer and closer to achieve his goals.
I brought my camera to ducument Endre and his special guest, mr Eric Hjorleifson, who has been in Norway for 2 weeks following the film tour, joining forces building the prototype for his new pro model, the EHP’s. This year, with movie segments in both "Eyes Wide Open" and MSP’s "In Deep", he has comfirmed his position as one of the best bigmoutain skiers around.

Eric has been involved in 4frnt and his own ski development for several years, and his EHP’s are seen as one of the best skis on the market. So this was a long anticipated building process for both of them, and the result came out quite spectacular.
